STEP 01

A NIE number (Número de Identificación de Extranjero) is a unique identification number assigned to non-Spanish and non-residents in Spain presented on a A4 document which includes the individual’s personal information and the assigned NIE number.
No matter what you do in Spain, you will need a NIE number. For many legal procedures like buying a property or opening a bank account, you don’t need to be a resident in the country. That is when you will get a non-resident NIE.
- Power of Attorney stamped and signed by a Notary of your choice.
- Passport copy of the two main bio pages, stamped and signed by a Notary of your choice. A copy of your full passport or resident permit will be required if you are a non-resident EU citizen and process your documents within the EU.
- An Apostille de la Haye is a must if you’re processing your documents outside of Spain, for your documents to be valid internationally.
